COVID Protocols: Just like with other respiratory viruses, your student can return to school once they have improving symptoms and are fever free for at least 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medications).
After symptoms improve and your student has been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication, they are usually less contagious, but may still spread the virus. It is suggested to use precautions for the next 5 days to minimize risk. For COVID-19, an antigen test can help determine how likely someone is to spread the virus, with a positive result indicating a higher likelihood of spreading it. For your convenience, free at-home COVID test kits are available in every school office.
