Update from the Superintendent - November 20th
Posted 11/20/20

Dear Scotts Valley Community,

As we are closing out November and heading into our Thanksgiving week break, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to our educational community. Over these past months, our educational community has expanded as parents are needing to provide more assistance for their children learning at home. Our teachers have had to learn new ways to instruct, and students have had to navigate new ways to learn. This year, 2020, has certainly been a challenging year, which makes it even more important for us to focus on the things for which we are thankful. It is unfortunate that this pandemic continues to keep us distanced from each other and our loved ones, but we will keep moving toward that light at the end of the tunnel.  Here’s hoping for a short tunnel!

As you may already know, the Governor has issued a travel advisory as well as a gathering guidance. CDPH Travel Advisory and CDPH Guidance for Gatherings

The CDC has also put out a recommendation against travel for Thanksgiving in hopes of helping to contain the rapid spread of this pandemic.

I hope each of you has a safe and healthy holiday break.  Please take care of yourselves, your older relatives, and especially, your kids.  They need us all.
